    If i update from my PC it does not matter what carrier I use as long as I have the correct version for the correct phone?

    I am asking because i am using a z10 in a carrier that haven't released the phone yet and I don't want to kill my phone

    As long as the update is for the correct Z10 model variant, i.e. STL100-3, it will work without issue on the device.

    So basically if you download the update of the model of the BB it will work? no matter if its from any carrier?

    Was it an official 10.1 file you found? If so where and from which carrier?
