10.2.1.2234 worked well for my Z10. Compare to what you have now you can't really go wrong with that.

Look around at the OS links on the forums here and see what is easiest for you to obtain. Good luck man!

Hey. A lot of people are saying 2974 is really good. I think you have to match a radio file though.

I'm not sure if 2234 has an easy download installation either.

2228 does have a downloadable file. That may be the way to go.

When you check for updated on your phone its not giving you anything to install OTA? What carrier are you using?

if you're new to all this and can't go OTA - they've made 2228 pretty easy to install here from Crackberry. It's going to be way better than what you have and really I didn't notice anything different between 2228 and 2234. Hope that helps.

If 10.2.1.2102 is what your carrier is sending your phone I'd go for it.

As far as updating further - I doubt you'd gain much. Not sure if 2102 is your software release or your OS version. I am on release 2160. These small differences aren't really worth worrying about in my opinion.

By letting your phone update over the air it won't mess up any of your settings.

But if you do want to have a fresh start then connect your phone to your pc. (not mac) and use an auto loader.

    http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ilable-914584/

this is where you can download the proper auto loader for your phone. Once you download it just open the file and it will do the rest. It will be like having a brand new phone though. So make sure you back up in some way if you need to.

If you're not sure - then don't do it. 2102 will be just fine. If I haven't answered you correctly or am not understanding why you're not updating OTA (through your mobile network) let me know. Or maybe other people will see this and have a better idea how to help.

Good luck with everything. Peace brother.

I'm thinking of trying that. But I'm not sure if OP is up to loading different radios and files if this is his first time. If he is coming from 10.0 to 10.2 then be will be pretty happy regardless you know what I'm saying?

Unless there is an autoloader for 100-1 I don't know about. If so please post the link for him.

I posted the 2228 link because it had an all in one auto loader for his phone. Not sure if there are higher versions or not.

I may also just be confused as to what OPs experience level is. If he is brand new to this he might want to just update OTA to 2102.

But I think I may try the combo you're on just because it's been so long since a leak and I like playing around with the phone anyway. Even if I can't tell any difference I get addicted to seeing the OS number go higher.

    2947 isn't available for STL100-1. I would install 10.2.1.2273 with an autoloader.

OP would be interested to know what you decided to do. OTA or auto loader.
