So accidentely I open the screen without a swipe.
    How?
Put your tumb on the top of the screen.
Push with one of your other fingers on the top button.
Now keep your tumb still attached to the screen.
    Voil abracadabra !!

Yeah you're right, but your finger/thumb needs to really close to top of screen or it jumps back to Lock Screen.

Can't imagine how useful it is, but you are right.

Maybe Z10 users with the really bad Otterbox Defender for Z10 will be interested.

Yes nice catch, But then you would have to use two hands..still not efficient..especially if you have a z30 (bigger device)

    I'd rather swipe.

On the other hand you can just change the option that the power button can unlock the screen.

    Yeah its really useful.
I already knew this for some time but I never used it again.
Untill I just see a post about some people complaining about the swipe.
So I thought maybe nobody know this.

I actually dont understand why Blackberry doesnt let people choose between to swipe or not.

You can just change the power button to unlock the screen in the options menu.

Also remember swiping is apart of bb10 experience.

I did it with one hand. Swiping is still easier, though.

This is basically the same thing as using your lock button to open your screen.

I just happen to think swiping is easier. In fact, if my phone is locked (password protected), I just hit the power button and type my password.
