Obviously this isn't a priority, but does anyone else find the unlocking animation to be completely tasteless and not in line with the rest of the os?

The light shining through objects on the wallpaper is so garish. The direction of the light rays adjusts based on your swiping-finger position. Also, the edge of the swipe curves based on where your swiping-finger is as well.

I find the whole interaction/animation incredibly dramatic and effeminate. Can't we just forget about the useless window dressing?

I honestly love it. I have a wallpaper of a black car front and when it unlocks the headlights shine. Other people like the animation too, not just with that individual wallpaper.

I tend to leave my background black, and was mortified when I played with some textures. Embarrassing animation; back to black.

So turn off gestures while locked and use the button at the top. You'll never see That animation again.

Dude. You clearly need to embrace your inner girl. You need to make it a priority. One exercise that can help is to go out clothes shopping. Spend all day choosing the most adorable, lacey dress and a darling ribbon for your pretty hair. Sit daintily in your favourite chair and play with that phone until you giggle like a chirruping sparrow. Good luck!
