I am using Z3 model. I am unable to update my mobile to the latest OS 10.3.2. I have tried the three methods specified in the BlackBerry website 1.On the web 2.BlackBerry Link 3.Over-The-Air to update the OS. But all the methods have encountered some issues.

I have got some 1.4 GB of free space in my mobile before updating and below are the details of the issue.

    1. On the web and BlackBerry Link :
When using these two options I can able to download only 45% - 55% of the update. After that I am getting a message as "Software Update encountered an error". I have tried couple of times to download the update but the result is the same. Not sure what the issue is.

    2.Over-The-Air:
When using this option I can able to download the full update (408 MB). But at the time of installing the software only between 212 MB - 240 MB got installed and after that I get a message "Software download was interrupted. Please try again latter". Again I have tried to update, but getting the same error message. Not sure what the issue is.

Can some one let me know what the issue is?

Downloaded 1.6gig 3 times already as installing always gets stuck around 43% then the update says, "The update was interrupted, please try again"

I've checked Link and it doesn't pick up the new update.

I'm tired of trying and wasting all my data.

You need well over 3GB free space for an OTA update of this size.

You should backup your device with Link, use Link to 'reload OS' or use an autoloader, then restore using Link.

OTA updates need to be done over wifi. I'm surprised your phone even allows you attempt OTA over the cellular network.

Thanks Conite. Will definitely try that. I just want to know , is it possible if I remove a few apps and get the device free space more than 3gb. Will there be any problems if I reload those removed apps after I had updated ?

You can re-download apps whenever you want. You own them.

Many carriers allow for mobile updates. They control whether it is possible or not.

    Hello All,

Thank you all for your suggestions. I have just wiped out my device and had some 3.2 GB of free space. Then I have started to download the update using wi-fi and now I have the OS version 10.3.2

All you have to do is to turn-off radio, data and WiFi. Update using BlackBerry Link and leave it alone for 90 minutes or so. Don't so anything until it says update completed successfully.

    Cheers
