Quick question ... I'm a new Z30 owner and downloaded this os update today.

I got to the restart device screen and was warned that the re-start could take longer than usual. When I accepted to shut down and restart device to complete the installation, I saw the blackberry logo and then an amber lightning bolt like shape thing [B]and my indicator light is blinking amber[/B during the re-start], Is this normal?

I'm in panic mode because amber is always something that scares me. Does this simply mean that the OS is being installed in the background while the device is being re-booted. Swipe function is off and I am not messing with any buttons during this re-start. So, is this normal?

    Thanks.

Sounds to me like the device is powered off and charging rather then rebooting.. try pressing the power button.

That is usually an indication of low battery. Can I assume you've kept the phone charging/plugged in while doing the update?

Low battery. Plug that thing to a charger PRONTO.

But no need for panic. It's totally normal. You're a Z30. It's natural you have never seen low battery situations rofl!

THIS WORKED. My battery was close to full and phone was plugged in the entire time during the update. Pressed the power button and voila ,,, the re-boot is underway. Thanks for easing my panic, lol

Couple of days ago, I installed a leak 1925 and battery was full when I started. By the time I finished wiping my device after the install my battery was empty....

So charge your device when updating hahaha
