One thing that is very important to any person that uses the phone to do business is reliability and not loosing all the data and contacts from the phone.
    That said, my question is:
Is there a reliable alternative in OS10.3 to the iCloud online auto backup?

it must be automatic, reliable, and easy to use anytime anywhere.

I use Outlook.com. That syncs my email, contacts and calendar

I use Evernote for my notes

I use Box to back up instantly every photo and video I take

So, basically if my phone gets destroyed, I'm ready and running as soon as I pop a sim in my new phone and login and or setup those above accounts

And I trust outlook.com as much as icloud for security, so that is my story

But the thing is that iCloud backup the whole phone, absolutely everything that is on the phone can be backed up to icloud and restored to a new phone.
sms + call logs + whatsapp logs + pictures + videos + music and ringtores + all the phone settings.
So, if you change the phone, you can just make the backup and later, in the new phone, you restore from the backup and in 5 minutes you are ready to go.
There is no need to make all the settings all over again.
That would be the main thing.

So use Link. That's the only way I know that will do what you want.

That's actually the only good reason why I kept Link on my pc.
