Interesting ZDnet article about all of the voice recognition options. (iphone, windows, android, SVoice, blackberry). Blackberry's was not negative and it was shown in a good light (up until the end when they said "still, it fared better than Windows 8". Bah!)

2 things I feel like sayin...

1- The voice recognition bar was set really that high up by Apple. What we have on BB10 is - to be fair - functional, but it is soo far away from half the stuff Siri can do it isn't even funny. For example, you can't have fun at the expense of the AI not loving you. It will find you suchi, but it won't go the extra mile and tell you the closest one (although it does show you how far each one is). But it will find it! So yeah, functional and they couldn't take that away from it.

2 - Point that THING away from us! Scary laser...



EDIT: Btw, has anyone tried SayIt for BB10?

That's true, but this is because siri is a personal assistant and on the z10 its just voice assisting app for calls etc.


Siri is connected to the Internet and many major platforms to pull information from BlackBerrys is just voice assist, meant to assist with calls texts etc, nothing special.

I've said in another thread BlackBerry needs to take the other approach like apple, Google etc, and buy sayit to incorporate in bb10. They don't have much money but it not being that big of a company they could get it and the developer for a good price.
