Did you turn off wifi, unistall the app then reboot the phone make sure wifi is off reinstall the app then reboot the phone again. I had to do this twice before it worked. Good luck

    Styleskey,

App world, then the "T-Mobile top picks." This only shows in app world when you are on t-mobile network with wifi turned off.

    Edit -
At least that is what I was told. Now I see t-mobile top picks listed even with wifi on. But that may also be because I have the app installed now. The rep at t-mobile had to turn wifi off to see the app to download it.

Well, the error came back. I called T-mobile and they transferred me to technical support, specifically for BlackBerrys.

The nice tech said, "No problem, I'll send an update to your sim. Leave the phone on for 2 hours, and then power cycle it." I can report that wifi calling is now working again and there is no red error by the wifi calling icon, or in the app itself.

We'll see how long this lasts.

My REG99 error came back after a reboot. Rebooting again made it go away.

I called yesterday. Was told that there is a problem with Blackberry and Tmobile. Guy took my name and put me on a list to be notified once it is fixed - said a few days. We'll see.

The app sucks on BlackBerry 10 anyway and due to serious battery concerns I can't keep wifi on all of the time so I'm just going to quit using the feature for now and maybe I'll switch over to ATT once they offer a $60-$70 plan.

The thing that keeps me with Tmobile is their unlimited Internet offering. This is a huge pain in the arse. BlackBerry we need you to fix the relationship with TMobile!!

How bad is wifi on the Q10? I'm using a 9700 because I must have UMA where I am. I was about to get a Q10 but if there are still major issues and it chews up my battery there isn't much point to it.

I can't speak for the Q10 because I have a Z10 but if you have the 9700 and you've waited this long to move over to BB10 I would suggest waiting and moving to a classic. That's basically what I'm waiting for.

Sure I like the Z10 but the battery life sucks for me (on 2 different z10s) and I still miss a lot of my 9700 features that I had with the track pad. Such as the handling of contacts, phone calls, calendar entries, cut and paste, typing on the keyboard for accuracy and the like. I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff but I've gotten used to the Z10 and OS10 so I never went back but I definitely can't wait until the Classic comes out...

Oh and UMA is so much better than this POS wifi App. That you will sorely miss..

It isn't that I waited. I was using an iPhone 4 and just moved to where UMA isn't optional. I didn't mind 9700 but I miss the integrated experience iphone offered. I am not willing to pay an insane amount for the new iPhone just to get UMA. A Q10 seemed like a great option but not if wifi craps out.

I can't speak for the wifi of the Q10 but I would hold out for the classic if you like the tool belt. Otherwise I would wait for the next Q series phone which will likely sport the same capacitive keyboard as the passport.

Man if only the Classic would bring the capacitive kb...I would be the happiest guy on the planet!!

How do you find the wifi calling on Tmobile? My 9700 still drops calls occasionally while on UMA for no apparent reason.

When you say third party wifi calling app, what do you mean?

We aren't interested in making Skype calls, we need something that actually connects us to Tmobile over wifi.

They are not skype calls it is making calls over wifi granted it is from a different number but it is still a connected call. I have had tmobile for almost two years now and travel moderately it is very frustrating to not have service when I venture a couple of miles from home. I have children so not having phone service while I am out Is not really a option. I may have to find a free wifi spot but it is better than not having any other option at all because tmobile does not support the device anymore or for that matter the uncarrier never supplied your phone in the first place. I called the tmobile customer rep and this is what they told me to do anyway with the s4 that I bought for my girlfriend because the device was not tmobile branded they would not be able to offer me the wifi calling. Thus recommending me to find other options for the wifi calling issue, so if "skype" calling is not your fancy then buy directly from tmobile and hope they do not drop support for your device one day because that will be the end of that. Do not take my word for it though you can call them and confirm this yourself good luck in your endeavor
