Latest official carrier release, Z30.

Most days I finish up with over 60% battery life left.

Today the thing plays the chime that it's at 20%. Never happened before. Light use of the phone today.

In "Battery Usage", "System" is currently showing 37%. Not sure where it normally should be.

Anyone else having a problem all of a sudden? My uncle's phone has been doing the same thing the last few days. Just thinking there may be a bug or something.

My phone (Q5) did that a bunch about a year ago. In my case BBM was draining my battery. I never did figure it out, but a phone reset (holding down both volume rockers) stopped the drain when I noticed it.

When my phone was draining it got much warmer that usual when in my pocket.

It hasn't happened in months. Maybe BB10 updates fixed it?

When I recently had this problem, this is what I found:

Clear and remove attached devices:



Reboot your phone and CPU usage should drop back to normal (7-11%) avg.

I've done a reboot and now "System" under "CPU Usage" is at 4.5%. I'll keep an eye on it.
