I saw this one this morning

My cell dropped its connection this morning while I was trying to make a call.

Another black bar appeared under the main title bar (clock, batter, etc).

Left side was my cell provider, right side said No Data Connection.

That little bar could be used for so much more, including notifications, etc.

Would be nice to see it used more often

you also get a sub bar when you pull down to get quick settings
