I have a z30 and z10 and they both have the same issue. While using my headphones sound comes out of only one earpiece. I tried several different headphones and I am having the same problem on each pair. I am running 10.2.1.1925 and been experiencing this problem on my prior OS also.

what are you listening to? Audio file or streaming music etc. I would make a test audio file that switches left to right. Does the OS play both sides when playing the music file without a headphone plugged in?

I listen to some disney music and it fades left and right so i know it never happend on my os i run.

Not trying to like a jerk, but have you made sure to press the jack in firmly? It's a common thing with these phones when they're new. The jack looks and feels like it's all the way in, but often a firmer push sets it properly.

Did you try the headphones audio boost? If not, might make a difference if the phones are not getting enough signal strength to fully function. Just a thought.

Download the free BB Virtual Expert and test you system. It tests headphone plugged in/out and left/right and both.

I had this issue. I simply pulled it out and put it back in repeatedly and now it works ok.

Sounds like reset os might resolve than. If the aux cord works than its not the port but a software issue

Are you using the stock headphones that came with the Z30? If so, I had the same issue with it. I used my old iPod headphones and they work fine. Try another brand of headphone. I think the oem headphones are too thick in diameter. The iPhone ones fit nicely.
