Are you having trouble getting the VPN set up? I've never tried it, bit setup seems like it'd be straightforward.

Does sonic wall support proper IPSEC? If not your BlackBerry won't be able to use it. BlackBerry doesn't support PPTP, L2TP or OpenVPN.

We also have a sonic wall. Yes IPSEC is supported. They make great stuff.

Though (and I am not sure on this OP) the IPSEC host might be an optional add on you have to pay to activate. Not sure.

According to the Sonicwall website it is an SSL based VPN. These are not currently supported by BlackBerry.

I occasionally search for this and hope someones either found a solution or BlackBerry has listened to our needs. I use a Sonicwall at work and could really use a BB10 client.

I just had my IT director try to set it up on my Z30. The Android Sonic Wall app works, and with everything set up says permission is needed to connect. The problem appears to be in Networks and Connections > VPN > Gateway Type. There is no option for Sonic Wall. Unless an option is given he told me there can be no connection. Who do we have to bribe to have that option added to BB10?

Brings up a thread that hasn't been touched in months just to say that selling their BlackBerry fixed the problem.

you're wrong, I love BB but after 2 years I still can't connect to my company email server to check email so I decided to replace BB to WP.
I hope someday they will fix it and give working version of SonicWall Mobile software for BB.

It is true tough, with BlackBerry OS10 it is nearly impossible to connect to any companies network, because they all are using OpenVPN, PPTL etc.
When everyone is able to connect with their 50USD android device but you as a BlackBerry business wannabe can't... that sucks!

    Since this is my thread.

Yeah your trolling. A little bit

I wanted SonicWALL VPN to remote into my company and run some privacy settings for my phone while I was over seas. Email had nothing to do with it.

On a side note I was able to get a solution for remoting into my server through windows rdp app for Android. Works like a charm.

I think no emulated vpn client will work because there seems to be no permission on the network interface out of OS10 in emulated Android environment. You can see under "Device Infos" (in the android Sonicwall app) that there is no MAC given for the interfaces. I believe that under this circumstances the only way to realise it would be a native app OR out of the box within OS10 settings.
