I find the Focus circle incredibly accurate. I type heavily on my Z30, full on 50-page plus documents. That circle has saved my life and I couldn't imagine an easier editing tool.

If you need to go to the ends get the circle to pop up. Then tap and hold near the bottom just to the left or right. You should see 3 bars. Then just drag to the ends. For instance if you need to go fully to the left side of the screen place your finger on the bottom right. A little counter intuitive. But works well once you get the hang of it.
