Say I look up Pizza Hut with Maps. I now want to add a particular Pizza Hut to my Contacts.

I see no way to share this business instantly into Contacts.

Is there an easy way to do this?

You have to save it as a favorite. Then you can share it.

Took me a bit to figure that out. Not ideal but it works.

This does not work or I am doing it wrong. Contacts is not available in the Share menu within Maps, even if its a Favorite.

Can you explain further what I might be doing wrong?

You will have to share it to your e-mail once there your contact list is available and you e-mail it to them.

You can also text it or Bbm it

You just had to go one step further.

I do not want to send the selected business to a current contact.

I want to share it INTO a brand, new contact i.e. create a new contact from the business I've selected within Maps.

I see no way to do this.

NNot sure if I understand completely.
This is what I do
1. Open map app
2. Search for business and choose the one I want
3 from map touch and hold mapped location ( Starbucks )
4 from overflow select share
5 chose option to share like text message.
6 type in number of contact or if already a contact type in name
7 send text
If you just want to add this business to your contacts then just put in a contact but don't send.
Then just tap on the attachment , when it opens long press on phone number. From over flow select add to contact. Chose new.
You will need to add address manually though
Or share to email then copy and past info to new contact by opening contact app and creating new contact

This is so crappy.

On Apple and BBOS all you have to do is select Add to New Contact.

Okay, here you go. First search for Pizza Hut.

Then tap the location that you want and find it on the map.

Then tap the box with the name in it to get details.

Then long press on the phone number. The side menu will open, revealing the add to contacts option along with the other share options.


Then add it.

Hopefully BB ups the functionality of this. This is just a generic phone number add to new contact.

BBOS fills in the business name, address, phone # and web page all in one Add.

I know it's not through BlackBerry maps but if you search it through the yellow pages app you have the ability to add to contacts

When I try to long press on the phone number, it highlights the number (like to copy and paste) but the overflow menu doesn't appear. What am I missing? Thanks for any assistance.

BTW: I agree that, even if this basically works as you've described, this is an obvious area for BB Maps to improve upon. The business name, number, website and whatever other info is available from the map should seamlessly find its way into the new contact entry.
