My Z30 was running 10.3.1.2774 which was good for me. Then I discovered a problem with my SD card.

I couldn't see all of my content, the music gone but which was shut: all of my pictures have gone! Thousands of family pictures just gone. I looked at "access and storage" and it showed me that it's 12 GB used of 16GB. I plugged it into my computer to save my data but even there I couldn't see my data.

I erased the SD card and formatted and it worked again. I put back my music and it was working alright.... for about one week. It was the same problem again, couldn't see my data but the SD card was 7 GB used.

I then ordered a new SD card from Amazon. The SanDisk extreme 16GB UHS-I class 10 U3.

8 days ago I installed 10.3.2.798 and it all seemed great. I formatted and 3 days ago I put my music back on, during the week I took lots of nice pictures which I'm saving on it, played music, put on some important data of my university.
30 minutes ago I wanted to play some music, and.... No music in the music app.

Looked in the file manager: nothing visible anymore.

Looked at storage and access: 5 GB used out of 16GB.
I can't even see the data over my laptop when I plug it in via USB.

What's happening? What is this? Is the SD card not compatible? Or is it my phone doing this?

Try an android file manager like Ghost Commander. The SDCard path for android apps is /mnt/sdcard/external_sd

Okay, that's a good idea. I'll try next time if it happens again. I hope it won't happen again though.

But again the question : what is wrong? Is it the OS or the SD card or my device which does this?


