    do you mean two SMS threads? Do they contain the same messages?

    No they don't. However they do came from the same contact. This problem was triggered when I restored my sms data. So first thread contained the messages from 2014 up until May 23 2016. The second one contains the messages from May 24 2016 to present.

    Can't say I've had that but...
    1) I've lost a portion of a thread. So I had very old messages and fairly recent messages but was all of the in between one.
    2) I'm pretty sure that I've deleted or ended a only to have all the history show up again the next time I sent a message.
