    I am trying to search some old emails on Gmail that was setup using IMAP, on the Z10. It is not retrieving any of those.

    Can someone tell me if this is possible. On BIS this was possible by advanced search (remote).

    Oh I did not know that. Always have used activesync.

    Would not be surprised if it was a bug in BlackBerry os10. Lots of bugs considering gmail on os10

    I am setup with Gmail active sync push, the same way as my corporate account is, and Gmail sows nor five me the chance to such on sever as my corporate account does. Is there a special setting maybe?

    We should NOT have to resort to webmail access on a state-of-the-art communications device!

    The only "fix" I've encountered is to setup your account to initially sync "forever", which puts all your mail on your device. I can't figure a way of doing offline search. If you have a Google Apps account which connects via activesync, you may be able to search your server side data.

    Man this is disappointing. I just upgraded my 9900 to a Z10. I am very happy with the Z10 (it's only my first day) but it has dawned on me that I cannot remote search my Gmail like I could on my 9900 and that was a very useful feature. I can do this instantly usinbg my iPad Gmail app. Blackberry was always tops on email. If it is losing out on functionality like this then heavy email users (like me) won't be happy.
