Is the unfiled entries the only section which is saved?
If you have an EAS account, the tasks and memos sync up to Remember if you created a folder in Remember and link it to your EAS account.

My notes / tasks in outlook (with EAS) automatically sync to remember without setting up a folder.

Remember doesn't allow you to have notes and tasks not kept inside a folder, so the folder your notes and tasks are in are sync'ed to outlook already. The folder auto-populated when you set up your EAS account and chose to sync tasks and notes in the set up wizard. What I previously said still holds true.

If you even try to make a task/note in remember it puts it in the unfiled folder. So yes, they're in a folder.

You're on an unofficial leak you're not supposed to have. Remember on currently official releases of 10.2.1 is different; it doesn't allow you to create any list/task without choosing a folder, which to be completely honest I much rather prefer since it keeps everything very organized that way.

What's weird is my q10 (running same leak) does require folders and won't save any tasks. But z30 works great w/o folders. Which, btw, I like better anyway.

But still strange, same os, 2 different devices, two different results.

Now that I was unaware of. Perhaps it's also different on 10.2.1 then?

I did a restore on my z today after having upgraded BlackBerry Link, and all of my remember items were restored. They came from a backup on my Q

Both of my devices are on 10.3 and it is my understanding that the only difference is the radio so I assume both have same software & app version. So why they are different stumps me.

What I realized this weekend is I still have many "memos" on my 9810 that didn't come over when I did device switch to my Q10.

I didn't care then b/c my Q is my work phone and I still used my torch. But in Nov I got my z30 and did device switch from Q to z not realizing those memos weren't there.

I needed some of them and had to power my torch back up to see them.

Any suggestions how to get them to my z30?

OK, so ever since reading this thread I've manually transferred all of my accounts and personal info from "remember" app to my password keeper. I guess it's better because u need a password to actually get in their to see my passwords to different things...so if I changed phones and restored on BlackBerry Link, the new phone would need to have password keeper already downloaded to get all of that stuff restored, correct?

I use Password Keeper. It's free in bbw AND you can back up to sd card. I have two bb's and can keep them synced this way.

PLUS you can edit field names to customize. For example I changed "website" to say "card #" and I put my cc # there and I've customized same entry for "Exp date", "cvv" etc for credit card info.

Never mind, just did it. But you can't open it from the SD card. So what's the point of saving it there? What can u do with it once it's on the SD card?

If not already installed on a new phone, just download from BlackBerry World and when you sign in all your passwords will be there.

It's encrypted when you export to the SD card so nobody else can see your private information, just like they could if they were to access your phone when you had all that info in Remember. Allows you to import back to Password Keeper. Also called SECURITY.

Simple. Once you have PK installed on your new phone, log in and down on the bottom, you will see import. Click on that. I haven't actually tried that, hut it should give you the option to import the file on the SD.

Personally, I really wish I could backup Remember the same as Password Keeper, by exporting it to a file I can save on the SD Card (or wherever). I backup with Link but hate restoring them, considering all the leaks I've been through and previous troubles with restoring backups, I don't do it unless I have to. And, in all reality, all I really need backed up are Remember and Password Keeper as everything else is either not important or synced with my email account.
Having read many of the posts in this thread, I don't understand why you wouldn't use "Backup Pro".

    1. If you want to backup/restore the Remember app - use the app "Backup Pro" in BB World.
    2. If you want to export your Remember notes as text files - use the app "Backup Pro" in BB World.
    3. If you want to backup most things that matter in your BB10 phone - use the app "Backup Pro" in BB World.

Paranoid about backing up to the cloud? Ok. Select the encryption option. Alternatively select your SD card (or even internal storage) as the destination.

Remember to read the feedback left by other users.
