Had issue with missing BBM notices in the Hub. It was suggested that an OS reload was in order. Backed up my Leap then did factory reset from BB Link. Reloaded OS accepted updates, back up, started receiving BBM notices in the Hub. However a number of apps and some data have gone missing. Can�t open Amazon store or the app (native), FindMe and a number of newspaper apps which I reloaded them from my BB World.

I did three OS reinstalls the only difference was when I did not reload either a same day or two week old backup. Treating the device as a fresh device the Amazon apps work. I need the data (contacts for one) in the backup otherwise I'd start new...is it time for a new device? Thank you everyone.

It's probably something in your backup that is the problem, not the phone.

Try saving your contacts to CSV using one of the many apps available in BlackBerry World, then factory reset and don't restore your backup.

Reinstall all your apps from BlackBerry World, Amazon, or whatever other sources you used. It's going to be tedious, but it should work.

Thank you for your response. Much appreciated, while not asking for a particular CSV app...I'm afraid I would know what to search for and ask for a couple of suggestions.

"Contact Backup" or "Contact Backup to XL" should do what you need.
