Hello I am using Z30STA100-5/10.3.1.2582 and I have noticed that I get lots of pauses when recording a video but only when the subjects are moving. I have continuous video focus turned off and video stabilization turned on. I tried turning off save to video card to see if that would help but it made no difference. I have done a hard reset and I deleted some media files I didn't need anymore. Any other suggestion would be welcomed. I am a little nervous to do a full wipe and start over from scratch but wondering if that is the only resolve now. I have seen hesitation in transitions (specifically from the home screen and opening CrackBerry and Facebook ).

One suggestion: Do you have your device in power saving mode? It can (optionally) limit maximum CPU performance.

Do you save on an SD card? What class is it?

I had the same problem. Perhaps still do but haven't noticed it. Switched to720p and turned off continuous focus. Also got my new SD card. Much faster Samsung pro card. Old card was 6 years old.

Oh and I tried switching to the device memory and if I recall that didn't work.

Thanks everyone. I am not sure which class of card I have. However I turned off save to SD card and I still had the same performance. It is definitely not in power saving mode either. I will have to try 720 p instead and see if that helps.

Hmm weird. I have this sporadically on my Q5, but didn't experience it when I put the same SD Card into a Q10. So I thought it must have to do with the higher CPU clock. But if your Z30 experiences this as well.. I wonder what causes this hickups. Do you have many apps open while filming?

Sounds like you have a slow writing sd card, but also are you on 30 or 60fps?

I've had this problem since 10.3.1

It's the same whether is 30 or 60 fps.

This is not new, check other threads, video recording is broken in 10.3.1 and sometimes even normal pictures take long to process.
    It's pretty bad.
