First off, I know there's no way back if one upgrades to 10.3.2, so my question is definitely not related to that.

What I wanna know is if it's possible to use a different BBID on the phone after, say, using an autoloader to upgrade. I ask because I'm getting an AT&T BlackBerry Passport in August after my contract goes up and my Z10 (also from AT&T, if that's important) is currently running 10.3.1.2558

I figured it'd be nice if I used an autoloader prior to giving the phone away so that the new owner could start fresh on a relatively new OS. Because of that, I don't intend to set up the phone after the update. Could I do that or am I forever stuck with the phone once I update?

Only if you disable BlackBerry Protect BEFORE you run the autoloader can you sign in with a different BlackBerry ID.

Thank you. I heard that works, but I wasn't sure, since I've probably never used BlackBerry Protect anyways. My family has a habit of giving our old phones away, so I need this phone completely clean.
