BES is the ONLY way to *completely* secure a BB,,, the app security issues, & what they may have access to, could not be disclosed due to NDA,,, & as usual, app permissions are critical to that security...

Basic Security= ECC encryption

Network Security= AES-260 encryption

All AES does for BES is double ECC encryption through the servers and BlackBerry Balance (personal | work = ECC | ECC) thus making it more 'secure'. BlackBerry's not on BES are still vulnerable to breaches unless BlackBerry comes up with a solution for it's loyal consumers. Through app permissions you decide what you want to share online. On a technical stand point I don't see how QNX can be hacked seeing how it's used in nuclear-powered facilities, vehicle infotainment systems, etc. QNX is written in (I believe) 100,000 lines of code which makes it less accessible to hacks.

I read this and ultimately they are speculating that running bb10 on top of QNX potentially opens up the possibility of security concerns with QNX...I didn't read any specifics past this.
