The touchscreen of my Q10 is unresponsive (just ordered a new screen and tools for repairs), but the screen still work.

I keep receiving sms and BBMs and I wish I could use the keyboard or voice control to unlock the screen or preview my messages from the lock screen.

    Any ideas?

    Happy new year!

I would advice you to use BlackBerry Blend

BlackBerry is available for BlackBerry 10.3.1.1154

I've never done an upgrade of the OS with an leaked version of the BB OS.

Can I do this without the touchscreen? Does it wipe all my email settings/memos/calendar?

Is the 10.3.1.1154 version the most stable 10.3 version?

    Thanks

    I just read this:

In about 10 minutes, the OS will load. and the phone will reboot. When it reboots, it will bring you to the initial setup. There are questions you must answer and initial swiping you need to do. Do it. Put in your BBID when asked. The phone will boot to the home screen.

If I can't use my touchscreen, I won't be able to complete the setup after the OS is loaded.

I just saw someone post about the same issue.
Someone suggested something to do with the reader mode and suggested pressing the power button 3 times in a row.

Also before your start loading leaks etc,
Have you tried to reboot the device by
    1. Holding the power button until the shutdown screen with Restart Option comes up?
    2. Holding the volume button up/down at the same time until the phone starts rebooting and you see the BlackBerry logo?

I posted it for cvcv. Don't know if he tried though...

Yes, probably 100 times for both options

I also tried pressing the power button 3 times to make sure the screen reader wasn't on. I don't think it works on the lock screen though.

I ordered a new screen and the tools that go with it.

I'm currently doing a restore from a backup I did 2 weeks ago, when my Q10 was working fine. We never know...
