There seems to be some mention of problems updating to the latest OS but I don't see any threads on this. I guess this is isolated at the moment? I have got this error and made more than the 2.3 gigs of necessary space it says is needed even though the update is only 1.6 gigs. Anyone have any suggestions? Security wipe needed perhaps?

There's a reason that this update requires more than 1.6 GB of free space. This is because the software as a whole is downloaded in the device. Then, to install it, it requires another set of space. As the new OS is installed, the old OS as well as the downloaded files are deleted.

Thanks for the comments. Finally cleared enough stuff so I had just over 10 gigs of space used on my Z30 and the OTA update is in process. A pain in the *** for sure. Just shows 16 gigs of memory is not enough on a phone when this much space needs to be reserved for an update. Anyways, thanks!

I had same issue. Made some deletions during the update and all went well.

Ever thought of using a microSD?
And let me guess... you got WA installed...
Well clean up all this useless daily backup files that clogging up your device, after that go in to WA settings and change to use space on the microSD for this backup cluttering in future.

By the way... that's how it should looks like regarding free space... no Android ports or APK on the device at all...
And yes I still have some 60 plain built for BlackBerry App installed!
Main data storage with 128GB for files and stuff on a microSD, remember we are talking about a BlackBerry device not that of a rotten Apple with no SD slot at all.
