Don't get me wrong I look my passport but.... to print I have to email the document to the printer. Try printing an email this way, nothing! Have to open my windows tablet and log on. Wife's iphone, prints straight away! Those who say iToy and BlackBerry is for business? Not very business when you can't easily print!
    Humph!

PrintHand is a pretty good solution. Yes, a native solution would be ideal but this does the job.

Yep! One of the basic, everyday practices of business. Our beloved BlackBerry still can't perform this function natively. Let's go Waterloo!!

No problems here, perhaps a newer printer might help as they have their own email addresses

Plenty of other threads discussing this in the past but another vote for PrintHand in BB World not to mention many other printing solutions ranging from android apps to printers with their own email addresses. I've even got to use AirPrint on my iOS devices. So I don't see what the big deal is...

I use PlayCloud pro. Yes, you need to pay for it but it's not expensive, and it works well.

No other platform can print either. It just so happens the other guys were big enough to get the printer manufacturers to install the necessary drivers on THEIR printers! This is about market clout - not technology.

Good old Nokia Symbian phones could print without the need of an additional app.

There was still an app, it may have been built into the handset though.

By that logic, BB10 is an 'app' built into the handset.

All operating systems are just a collection of applications. The only difference is whether it's an application built into the core installation or built by a third party.

Printing is just a call to an application that understands a PDL of some kind and transfers that to a printer for output. Doesn't matter if it's a Windows PC or a mobile device. The only difference is the transparency to the user: in Windows it's a built in application, for many mobile devices it's a third party designed feature.

Print hand works great for me. I don't print often like you but the few times I had it I was really glad I had it. One of those apps you need on your phone for a just in case.

A nice solution is available from Hammermill for free.

Privacy seems a little sketchy on the Hammermill app.
