this means I save my notes/tasks on a server in the internet. I already have Outlook, that syncs tasks and calendar with my Q10... But I need sth private...
Since the new 10.2. update, we can sync contacts... I also see a new calendar (PC)... But no sync to remember?!?

My Outlook.com account automatically put a folder in Remember that syncs. I think it's EAS accounts only.

No way to sync tasks from outlook (desktop) with Remember. Incredible as it sounds, but to sync tasks is at its infancy in Blackberry OS10.

Something that worked in legacy devices/OS has not even considered in OS10, no explanation given by Blackberry. Go figure.

Theoretically you could sync with Evernote, but sadly it appears to be broken. No hint if it being addressed / fixed neither.

Remember is more of a share app than task app for me. You can backup Remember to your Dropbox account using Fire Chest Backup, but I am not sure of the format of the doc it creates.

I just checked. It's a *.json file. I opened it in a text editor on my phone and it's basically everything in Remember with HTML formatting, etc.

If you create a Box account, you can set it so that it automatically backs up any pictures you take, either on wifi or mobile if you choose. I know, I know, it means setting up yet another account, but it has more storage than Dropbox and that feature I explained above.

I think at this stage people would need a program to open the file up on their computer. Note Pad or Word Pad is not working on my end. It comes up Chinese.

Notepad should work... however, it's not really usable, would really be a last resort.

But: fire chest backup can read the notes, thus it would be possible to write whatever app to do something useful with them, either exporting them or syncing them somewhere, either based on fire chest's backups or directly.

    That's good news!

If you use Outlook.com/Hotmail as your email and it's setup on your BlackBerry, there should already be a synced folder in Remember. If you want Remember to sync to your Outlook desktop client, simply connect your Outlook.com tasks/notes, and you should be good to go.

I have a paid exchange account and have no problem syncing tasks/notes between outlook and remember. Free outlook accounts might be the same but 5 bucks a month is worth the simplicity IMO.

Free is the same. It still uses EAS.
