Alternatively, is it possible to create a new event from an email message?

They way I do it is I flag an email I receive. Flagging an email sends it to the remember app.

From there I add a due date to the remember entry. This adds the event to the calendar.

Using the app Checked! Task Pro you share the event to the app and from there you set a calendar event.

The app does a lot more than that, so it may be worth checking it out

Thanks for the ideas! I guess I was hoping for something a little more direct, it seems like a useful thing to have. I will look for the checked! Task Pro. I"ve also used the Flag > Remember App route. It's good to know I'm not missing anything.

Yes you can associate an email to a calandar using the task management app Viira. Share the email to Viira, set an alarm time and the email appears in the list below the Month calandar for the date selected.
    Very slick actually.

If you're conscientious with your calendar event wording, BlackBerry 10 will automatically associate the event with relevant emails. See top right of image below

Google does this for me sometimes automatically. Check out gmail if you haven't yet.

What I do is go to the menu (3 dots) when in the email and choose Invite to Meeting. It will open a calendar event with the email specifics and contents. I then delete the email invitee and I'm set.

That's a great tip. I have never though of doing it that way. Thanks

Hmm...only thing that transfers from the email is the Subject. I was hoping the body of the email would go into the Notes section of the calendar entry.

The whole email body does appear in the Notes to the calendar appointment if added via the Invite to meeting option in overflow. No need to use a 3rd party app.

Yes, invite to meeting works. The date used is the present, not the date of the meeting. I change the date of the invitee, save it, but it does not save the new date.

My Z30 is hired, my iPhone retired. BlackBerry rules the lot. Cause it's the best phone I've ever got.

Try more. Some emails the body does indeed go into the notes section but on other emails the notes section is empty. So far it seems random but I'm guessing there is a reason?
