I think I may have stumbled upon an odd bug in BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 and I'm wondering if any of you are able to reproduce the following scenario?

    1. Turn Wi-Fi on
    2. Turn on Airplane Mode
    3. Turn your phone off and then back on, or simply restart it
    4. Turn Airplane Mode off

In this case, the device seems to forget the state of the Wi-Fi radio prior to having turned Airplane Mode on before restarting and therefore does not restore its previous state so that is turned on. You can verify this by looking at the quick toggle settings to see that Wi-Fi is off, or check under Settings > Network Connections.

If this is able to be verified, what would be the best method to report this issue to BlackBerry?

To clarify, the device must be restarted before airplane mode is turned off. When toggling airplane mode on/off without a restart in between, the Wi-Fi connection state is restored as expected if it was turned on before putting the device in airplane mode.

Not a bug. It is supposed to do it. Airplane mode over rides all connections. So if you restart with airplane mode on, it is going to default to all connections off upon restart as this this is how airplane mode is intended.

Instead of using airplane mode it sounds like you should be just toggling your mobile network off

It will occasionally leave Wi-Fi, or BlueTooth off when leaving Airplane mode even without restarting. This has been an issue since 10.0.
