I know a lot of people would come bashing me for this but for me its important to mention that radio performance has been going down and down with each update. Also is reliability of BBM delivering the messages instantly.





Hoping someone in BlackBerry reads and have a look at this issue.

I agree OP. If there is one issue with the latest BB10 or BB phones (classic) for me, it's the radio reception. My classic is pi$$ poor. I can put it right next to an iphone and both dial a number. Both phones go into 4g to call. The iphone will usually go up a notch or two and the classic will go down a notch or two. Most every time the iphone will make the call. The classic however, fails at least half the time. This is my second exchange of the classic for this issue. All the same.

So, I will say to those who proclaim the superiority of BB call and radio ability, not so much. The passport does a little better than the classic, but the classic is the pits for me and radio signal for calls. I really want to ditch the iphone but I can't, as long as the classic is refusing to cooperate with a better signal. And lets not go into wifi reception.

Interestingly, I was in Bora Bora in October and a friend had a new iPhone Plus. He could not connect to any signal there at all. I was able to connect easily with 4 G all day using my Z10.

I was there this past week and could not connect to a signal there, it simply said "SOS." I was using 10.3.1.2708 this week.

I upgraded to 10.4.1.2744 yesterday so hopefully it will improve.

I have usually had better service overall than my friends with iPhones, but last week my Z10 didn't work.

Agree with the OP. I most of the times encounter delayed, for example, BBM sending, but when I use BBM on my iphone I could send it right away. Using same network. Same WiFi. Same area.

Agree with OP, i have a BBM groups wherr all msg goes haywire and does not come in sequentially. Rest of the group members (all using BB phones old and new) also experiencing same problem

Not having issues with BBM, but I would have to agree on poor signal reception on my 10.3.1 Z30 over 10.2.1. WiFi and mobile signal reception is weaker. It's not a big deal to me since I live and work near a major city so cell towers are a plenty, but it must be annoying to anyone outside the cities.

I have been struggling with BAD reception issues with my dad's Classic. We tried everything. Different carriers, different OS's (even 10.3.2) Thought maybe it was issue with his phone so we exchanged it for a 2nd one. Same issue

He is now on a Passport & loving it!

....Although the passport has markedly improved reception over the Classics (which were essentially unusable anywhere there was even slightly low reception) it's still not getting as good a signal as the older Z30 & Q10 phones.
