I guess there's a lot of criminals that are going to be heartbroken because BB10 does not use device PINs to communicate. This was mentioned ages ago. That's why you have a BlackBerry ID now.

Crack-berry has more than one meaning.

But f that ****, z10 is wayy better than the bb7 stuff so w.e

Pin to Pin is nice, you can still talk to people who you delete from your bbm.

No, BBM is fully supported on BlackBerry 10 with even more features than before (BBM Video, BBM Screen Share).

I'm pretty sure that attracting criminals as a good platform for communicating about criminal activity is another item that's very low on BlackBerry's current priority list.

BB10 still uses PIN's. Just as before. PIN to PIN wasn't BBM. It was a little different. It was anonymous and didn't require you to be "friends" or have them added to your list in order to work.

Eh FBA why don't you relax. I'm upset that it doesn't have pin to pin. I really like my z-10. I will be keeping my other 9900 for business.

Believe me a lot of people won't be upgrading to the Os 10 for the simple reason of no pin to pin. Pin to Pin was what separated blackberry

I was waiting to buy 6 q-10s for my employees. But if it doesn't have pin to pin it looks like they will be getting the Os7 curves.

A lot of you posters need to chill the heck out. This site is not a communist site and I think we should be able to be vocal about what we like or don't like.

If you're waiting for BlackBerry Q10 devices anyway, the you'll have time to see if BlackBerry 10.1 brings back support for PIN-to-PIN messaging.

^yes sir. I'm waiting on them but I think. I'm sticking with this z-10 for me and get the q's for my employees if they have pin. I've gotten used to the keyboard and love the bigger screen. These z-10s are addictive I can't seem to put it down lol..

Being the first at my company with a BB10 I've looked a bit dumb not being able to reply to the pins. they all show up in the notifications and I have to guess who it is. email can be unreliable,PIN is much quicker and reliable. yet none of us want to use BBM for company issues because the D and R is irritating to many.

Pin to Pin is a big deal for me. But if it's not returned to BlackBerry I will continue to use my 9000 and stock up on a couple more for back up purposes. I've been with blackberry since the were the rim two ways. If pin to pin doesn't return, there is no need to cry over spilt milk. In the future it just gives me the option of choosing other smartphone makers since nothing separates blackberry anymore...

I am not an IT specialist. But I think if I have an Blackberry ID and for this Blackberry ID is assign the PIN, I don't understand why no way to sent a PIN message. Over Blackberry ID.
I think it is a temporarry missed thing, and sending PIN it will be available from the next OS update... I used a lot the PIN messeging at work, and if I change to a Z10, I will have a big problem to communicate to the rest of the people for our team. I have been hopeful! :-)

I don't understand what happened.... I write a post and I have a message who say I need an Administrator approval to post the message. After that I write the message for delete doubled posts, and for that I don't need to approve.

What I was writed is: I am not an IT specialist. But I don't understand if I have a Blackberry ID and for this ID is assign the PIN, why it is impossible to send PIN to PIN message. Over Blackberry ID. I think this is a temporary missed, but it will be possible from the next OS update. I use a lot PIn to Pin messages at work, and I will have a big problem if I want to change my device to Z10 and I don't be able to communicate to the rest of our team. I have been hopeful!

The explanation is simple, our spam filter looks with more suspicion at messages from users with low post count, and you happened to use a combination of words which have been used regularly by spammers. Don't ask me which words, because I don't know - it is automatically generated and changes to follow recent spamming. The filter will get more forgiving as you post more and become known as a real member so don't worry about it.

New to the BlackBerry platform with BB10 and just found out about Pin-to-Pin today.

Someone with a BB7 got a hold of my PIN and has been harassing me non stop sending naked gay porn! I was stupid enough to post my PIN on twitter thinking anyone would need to add me on BBM to message.

The worst part is I can't find an option to block the user, even though I have blocked on BBM. On top of that each message takes a row of the hub unlike BBM. Look at this?!?!

What are you guys talking about.

BB10 does support PIN to PIN messages. Have been using it successfully on my Q5 since i got it.
And yes PIN messages are different from BBM messages and have their own benefits.

Whilst in the hub simply navigate to the filter on the far left at the bottom to PIN
PIN works better on BB10 because it will show all of your PIN messages in one location to filter out.

HOWEVER and what we have found in our company is that your contacts will not contain the PIN details once migrated accross which is a pain.
If your contacts are from exchange the field that contains PIN details (user field 1) is not included in the lookup.

Basically you will need to (from the device) edit your contact info and add the PIN number in manually to allow PIN messages to that contact.
    This can be time consuming.

What we did to get round this was to manually edit the PIN details for a group of contacts from one device and then email the contact information to lots of different users who also wanted the PIN details. Those attached VCF files can then be opened straight from the BB10 and added as a contact. Then Voila you can PIN those contacts.

To PIN a contact who has the PIN details included just goto PIN from the hub and type in the name of the contact, as long as the contact has the PIN detail they will appear from the list and you can send them a PIN message.
