Ditto here. PIM at 65% and battery drained from near full charge to 20% in less than 1 hour.

Rebooted but PIM was still sitting above 40%.

EDIT: I put the wall charger on (little BB cube). The PIM is now down to less than 1% but the phone is warmer than usual and the charger cube is scalding.

hold the volume +/- at the same time until the blue booth square shows up.

Was at the Sharks' game tonight and it did it again. Had 80% at the start of the game and a red battery icon by the end. Something is really funky...besides the Kings

I rebooted and turned on wifi. I knew I was in a no 3g area 2 hours before and I work near a stadium of 27000 supporters (Brighton and Hove Albion) and whenever it's match day the local cellular network goes down.

The same happened to me when I was in an area with no data connection.. had to spot a signal zone so I let the phone sync (with the contacts?). After that, things went to normal.
I think there is a loop fir sync retries.. BlackBerry really need to fix this as it can make the device obsolete in no time (so you couldn't use other data-independent features such as camera, read docs, browse album, etc etc)

Funny thing is I had a solid 4G signal the whole time. It is Silicon Valley

On the other hand, the first time it happened I was sitting at my desk. Solid 4G signal and over 10mbps download speed. Still a little high on the PIM Services this morning at 7% and not moving. Lost 6% battery in 10 minutes.
