Is anyone else having problems with picture password? The settings option keeps disappearing. I set it up, then go to lock and it doesn't use picture password. I wonder if a simple restart will fix it.

Does this update also bring that simple password option that 10.1 brought to the z10?

No signs of simple password here.

Also a simple restart didn't fix the issue. Gonna let the OS settle for a bit. Maybe do a battery pull later.

I found another password glitch: one of my emails requires a password, but I was able to disable my password completely.

Just did a restart, and it works fine.

    It's there, and accessible.

On my side, the optio for Picture Password appears and disappear.

Same as others : one of my account imposes me to have a device password. I'm not on BES. (Exchange 2007)

I don't even see an option for picture password. Is it supposed to be in the right menu when you open a picture? I have restarted 3-4 times since the update.

It won't be on the right menu when opening a picture.

Settings - Security and Privacy - Device Password - and then you see an option to turn Picture Password on or off.

A battery pull later and it's still not working. Not sure what to do here.

Same as everyone. I do have the option of Picture Password. Turned on, went through the process and set it up. Let device locked , and when slide up to unlock, get the normal unlock screen! When I do get back into settings, it shows Picture Password turned Off !

I believe that I do. Is that prohibiting picture password? I was able to disable my password completely, which also seems like a glitch.

I have the same effect as you.

I read that this imposition remove access to picture password. However, it seems that there is a bug along the line as we should not be able to eat picture password.

On the other hand, if we are allowed to use "simple password", I don't know why we cannot use Picture Password, as it is as safe as simple password.

    I miss this feature

Having same issue. I do have an ActiveSync account that does impose a password requirement. I can turn the feature on, setup Picture Password. All is good. However, after locking device and then trying to unlock or as soon as I leave the Device Password screen and come back - Picture Password is turned off. Frustrating.

The weirdest thing is that when the picture password toggle is there, you can disable passwords altogether (and it won't reset)

As other posters have said, I do have an ActiveSync account that requires a simple password. This was making me mad, thanks for posting that info. Now I know I'm not crazy (it was there, now it isn't, he he he). I sure hope this gets fixed in the next update, since, having a picture password, requires a simple password, and the ActiveSync account requires a simple password.... so, if A=B and B=C, then by logic, A=C as well, right? I had a nice picture of a horse's ***, tail up, and the number I picked was 0, you can figure out where it was supposed to go...

I have a Z10...When I toggle the picture and set it up, it seems as if it is fine until I lock my phone and I get the normal password. Also, the option keeps appearing and disappearing from the Privacy menu. Hope BB releases a maintenance update soon...

To avoid (some) issues with my Active Sync on 10.2.1, I had to de-activate picture password and use a normal text one.

Funny thing happened to me: used simple device password one day, the next day it doesn't work, tried to set up a picture password, nada...One of the most applauded features of 10.2.1 not working. Tried restart, battery pull, nothing. I can't do anything to secure my "secure and safe" BlackBerry, one of the "most secure" (Ha ha) devices in the world. Secure, my a.., if I can't set up a simple password lock. These things are starting to get on my nerves...

I've been using picture password for a quite a while with no problems.

A few days ago I wanted to change my password timeout setting and noticed the Picture Password option was turned off (even though picture password was working). So I toggled it back on, next reboot I'm asked for a password, went back into settings and picture password was turned on. It seems like the Picture Password setting and what's really happening are out of sync.

I've tried pulling the battery and that didn't help.
