Physical Keyboard with Touch Sensitive Frets
My wish for a BB10 device, is a physical keyboard where the frets separating the keys are touch sensitive. Small capacitive displays could show the predictive word in between the physical keys, much the same way the new touch screen keyboard is functioning. They could be used to delete and swipe predicted words into what you are writing.
Too advanced? Maybe, but it is just a wish. I'm rather impressed already by the way BB10 is shaping up.Boring signature. - 05-12-2012, 01:34 AM

honestly, this seems like it is just a thread about you being indecisive about picking a physical qwerty or a touchscreen.. the features are cool with what the touchscreen keyboard can do, and physical keyboard is awesome (i have the bold 9930) but mixing physical BUTTONS and then TOUCH capacitive buttons above them which could have the predictive word text is just rediculous... I'v decided that even though I love my physical keyboard, I'm probably just going to get the full touchscreen because they hit the nail on the head with the keyboard. This post probably doesnt have many replies because if you just think of what you are saying... it's just a little bit rediculous and more of you just wanting the best of both worlds (which would not work very well) but rather because you dont know what you truthfully want. I dont mean any offense by this, I admire the creativity of innovation, but this idea just seems like it's a little "much". Physical Keyboard if you choose to have one its because you want to type fast and accurate, the reasoning behind he intuitive keyboard they created wih the predictive text is because touchscreen keyboards have always been sub-par at typing, so this addition may make it more manageable. You sacrafice sreen size for physical keyboard, you want to make the keyboard even BIGGER leaving even LESS space.
I'm sure in theory this sounded alright, but people arent responding to this post for this reason, just pick one dude, try them both out, you'll love one more than the other, dont worry!
ps. sorry for any typos, dont feel like proofreading as i typed it on my PlayBook and its kinda a pain in the with the current keyboard , now if i was on my bold9930 however (;Developer of "Web Design Cheat Sheet" for BlackBerry 10 using Native Cascades:

You hit the nail on the head. I struggle with the touchscreen keyboard, it is slow and inaccurate for me. I live in limbo already in using the torch, I have a 90-10 physical to touchscreen usage. Ill be getting a BB10 right away regardless. Wouldn't have a problem going back to a 9900 if I don't like it.

Yes, well honestly, I am in the same position of you, although I am so damn impatient that I feel I will just get the first one out the door whether it's all touchscreen or not. I will admit that if I do, I will GREATLY miss my 9930's keyboard, but at the same time, I think this new keyboard might be somewhat of a game-changer in the touchscreen phone world. I really like that they maxed out the width of each key and I honestly really like how it just looks in general, along with the swipe features as well of course.
I'm quite torn, but I'v just accepted that my money is going at the first one out the door

I'm going to try to go to the all touch, which after 10 years of qwerty only phone use will be a major adjustment. I've played with iPod touches (own one), have a Playbook, but the BB10 keyboard has me excited.
