So if I pull the battery to do a hard restart the boot process starts fine, I get the percentage indicator, but every time it gets to 67% the white blackberry logo and text comes up and then the screen goes black.

If I plug it into the wall charger I get a quick blink of the red light, followed by a steady red light for 10sec, followed by the white blackberry logo and text for 5sec, followed by red/green light and yellow lightning bolt icon on the screen for 2sec, then black screen with steady green light which is the way it remains until I unplug it.

I tried Blackberry Link, it will not connect.

Do I just need a new LS1 battery?

It won't hurt to try a new battery.

Bought the Z10 battery charger bundle with a new battery.
Let the new battery charge fully, inserted the newly charged battery into the phone..... same results.
Has anyone ever had an issue like this before?
My next step is to reload the software via Link but I know I'm going to lose data, pics, documents.
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes hard lessons are learned the hard way. I've learned to do a weekly backup of all sms and mms weekly, otherwise everything is stored in the cloud(or backed up to the cloud). There's nothing else to lose that I can't reinstall.

Tried updating using Sachesi, would not connect.
Tried reloading with Link, would not connect.

Is there any other way to restore a Z10?
There has to be something I can do besides buying a new phone.

Sadly, you will loose all data not stored on SD Card (if you have one).
