People showing Storymaker some love
Its nice to see people slowly getting the whole "screw apps, its inbuilt" feature of BB10
PocketNow: Make Your Dull Life Look Awesome with BlackBerry’s Story Maker App
Someone should start a forum thread where people can post their videos from Storymaker
and i am not buying my Z10 for a couple of months

The video he made was actually pretty cool. I'm not sure if he took those pics with the Z10 but they looked clear and crisp. Glad to see a positive review of a native app on BB10 in the US!

Seanpriest, that was unbelievably awesome!! I believe you when you say it is easy but the results make it look like it was impossibly difficult. Congratulations on a job well done.

Awwww shucks! Thank you so much
Honestly, it really is so easy. You just choose what to call your video and what credits to have then select all the photos and video you want, then choose your music and then try out the different filter effects. You can then re-arrange your media by simple drag and drop, or add or delete more frames. You can even edit individual photos or videos from within the Story Maker application by changing the light balance, video length, saturation etc. I'd like to see the ability to add slow motion or increase the speed of the videos but I'm just being picky.

Storymaker is such an awesome application. I hope TAT will keep on improving this. There is just so much potential here!

It really is easy to make I had a vid when I was at the emirates and some random pics on my SD.Despite the random mix the transistion were still great as were effects. You will have to add the music you want to the phone/sd card but its easy.I didnt know about the tiling iptions I'll check that out nice vid.
Story maker is definetly does'nt get enough credit for how good it is as expected from tech reviewers 20 minute use.Im sure if orange or copysam do it it will be praised highly. - 02-20-2013, 02:06 PM #11

The filter/ template I used was the one called Chromatic. I believe it is the one that seems most commonly used and seem most popular Although there are certain options to personalise each 'Story' with effects such as changing contrast, light balance, length of clip etc, there isn't any way of choosing transitions or of choosing when an image becomes tiled. Not sure how they became tiled in mine Maybe because I added so many photos or perhaps because I first added the 'Simple' template/ filter to the video. Not really sure. I really love Story Maker but I hope that the app continues to be developed and updated to include additional effects and the ability to add more personalisation. I would happily pay for third party add-on apps too if they worked.

Wow. These look great !! I played aroudn with StoryMaker for about half an hr but it keeps telling me I need to restart my phone to be able to save anything. Is frustrating enough that I likely wont use again until there is an update.

CDM76, I get that error sometimes too, I find I only get it when editing videos inside storymaker. So what I do is edit the pics first, and arrange the pics and videos in the order I like, then when I'm satisfied I edit the vis, so essentially I leave the vis for last. And if the error pops up, everything is still saved, all I have to do is restart and continue where I left off.
I posted my vid in the other thread in this forum, but well here it is anyway.
