So I heard long ago that if incorrectly type in your password with all the amount of tries, after the security wipe that happens, the password lock will be kept on basically a fresh OS. Has anyone tested this and found it to be true? Thanks, if it is, it's a nice peace of mind.

I believe this is the case, although I have never tried it myself either.

Actually, I tried this on my old 9900. Entered the password incorrectly 10 times. It wiped, and was back to "factory fresh". No password left. Ready for the next user. No data available, but otherwise usable.

I can confirm it resets the device to factory like brand new out of the box. I did this on a BlackBerry Z10 I was selling.
