I had read a link quite some time back which said how to quickly password lock your phone. you have to hold the power button which gives you the option to password lock on BB10.
I use a BB curve 9220. There is another way to quickly password lock your phone. by default, pressing Alt + Enter key gives u an option to change the language. U can go to options - language and change the shortcut to Shift + Space. After doing this u can use Alt + enter to password lock your phone. Dont know whether it works on the BB10 devices, but works on the BB OS5,6 and 7 devices. Worth a try
