I have a follow-up on that question: I have a password keeper on my Android (third party app) and am wondering if that can be transferred to the BB10 or if I will need to manually reload my 100s of passwords.

Will KeePass be available for BB10? I see it's no longer being developed for BB at this time. Although if it works on the PlayBook presumably it will on the new OS.

Re: password keeper onBB10
At the moment, side loading works on the Dev Alpha. Hopefully that will continue on release devices.

I don't think they'll ever block side loading. That's the only way Developers can test their apps on a BB Device. If you download an app from the android market and convert it to use with BB10, it'll probably work as the device will think its your own developed app.
What I believe is going to be blocked as I understand is the ability to extract and re-distribute apps that were purchased and downloaded from App world. All of those downloads/purchases will be tied and encrypted to the user's BlackBerry ID.
I remember reading i believe it was an interview with Alec Sanders a while back and that's kinda on what he hinted will be the idea. - 01-21-2013, 09:26 AM #11
I'm the same but with Keepass.

I've seen a password app on a stock L-series (can't remember the actual name). I noticed because I didn't see it in any leaks so I was looking for it.
That said, I'm really hoping for some combination of Dropbox+Keepass so I can keep my passwords synced across multiple platforms and devices. - 01-22-2013, 06:44 PM #14
I'll take Dropbox+Keepass, but I would REALLY like to see Spideroak+Keepass

The bgr screenshot does show development mode which is used for sideloading

You don't even need to look at photos now as it is in bbworld itself:
