I have a follow-up on that question: I have a password keeper on my Android (third party app) and am wondering if that can be transferred to the BB10 or if I will need to manually reload my 100s of passwords.

Depends on the app. I use KeePass for my passwords and have the same database on my BB, PlayBook, laptop, Nexus 7, and Note 2.

We'll still have to see how many of the native BB apps get BB10 counterparts.

RIM needs to keep the Password Keeper with BB10 and I think it would be even better if they introduced a sync type feature so you can sync your passwords to multiple devices through either wifi or a cloud service.

Will KeePass be available for BB10? I see it's no longer being developed for BB at this time. Although if it works on the PlayBook presumably it will on the new OS.

The side loaded Android app works. There are also a couple of developers who have brought it to PlayBook (I use KiPas on my PlayBook). Hopefully those show up in BB10 as well.

will we be able to side load on BB10 though?

At the moment, side loading works on the Dev Alpha. Hopefully that will continue on release devices.

I don't think they'll ever block side loading. That's the only way Developers can test their apps on a BB Device. If you download an app from the android market and convert it to use with BB10, it'll probably work as the device will think its your own developed app.

What I believe is going to be blocked as I understand is the ability to extract and re-distribute apps that were purchased and downloaded from App world. All of those downloads/purchases will be tied and encrypted to the user's BlackBerry ID.

I remember reading i believe it was an interview with Alec Sanders a while back and that's kinda on what he hinted will be the idea.

I really really hope password keeper makes it to BB10, I reply heavily on it and will be disappointed if I have to go to a non-native alternative.

I've seen a password app on a stock L-series (can't remember the actual name). I noticed because I didn't see it in any leaks so I was looking for it.

That said, I'm really hoping for some combination of Dropbox+Keepass so I can keep my passwords synced across multiple platforms and devices.

Nice! This might officially seal the deal for me, lol. Too many passwords needed for all these different systems at work, BB Password Keeper is one of my most used apps!
