    Hi all,

This morning when i hold my passport to shut the alarm off, i noticed (again) a red blinking light, on the top left side of the phone, left to the BlackBerry brand mark. It happened already on my Z10, and i could swear also on my 9900.
This light is extremly tenuous, and the blink extremly fast, it seems to me related with movement sensors, for it happens only when i move the phone.
Once my eyes are accustomed to daylight, i've never been able to see it again.

Anyone knows what is its purpose?

It's part of the cellular band. You'll see it blink when you dial out for a phone call

It is the proximity sensor, you'll notice it during calls for example, where it constantly checks whether your phone is up on your ear or not.
