    I am on Wind in Vancouver, but my z10 is unlocked, so I just now popped in my wife's 2 year old disconnected Fido sim from her old iPhone 4.

    Well voila!! Update received!!

    So you CAN use on outdated simcard since the phone can still read the carrier, and the update is carrier dependent!

    Sweet!

    Battery does seems to suck, even more than .1925, on .2102. on my Telus Z10.

    .1055 has been best battery yet...was getting 12 to 18 hours of moderate use with .1055.

    Try turning off LTE temporarily.

    My phone is only 2 hours shy of hitting 24hrs on a single charge for the first time. This is after the update and with half a day running on LTE.

    Before that, my phone's battery would last 12-14 hours on a single charge using LTE
