Since the leaks of 10.3 we have seen a new accent colour, red in all of the native apps. This also automatically applies to another non-bb made app as long as it was native.

But are these "accent colours" changeable by each app developer? If I remember the Sochi2014 app had a completely different colour scheme and it worked perfectly.

It just seems funny to have a lot of apps with all the same blue (or maybe now red) with directly opposing their iconic colour schemes.

For example Twitter and CrackBerry both use different colours than the default bb-blue. If it was customizable by each dev they could use their colour of choice such as the Sky Blue and CrackBerry Orange.

This isn't a direct answer to your question, but rumour has it the red is already gone from later 10.3 builds. Remember that the 10.3.0.140 build we've seen was quite an early version.

I think people talked too much about the accent colour that BlackBerry might just stop any attempts to change it! :-/ let's just wait and see guys

From what I seen... it's a planned customizable feature soon. but it's not per app it's more like a theme choice.....

So I guess no one knows if the colours are customizable for each app dev. Too bad, it would give each app more of a uniform design.
