    hi,

I didn't use the "bugs in 10.2" thread as i think that my issue is not really a bug, but a main clsuterxxxx.
Just did the update to 10.2 (carrier t-mobile germany), everything went well. I got added a new "settings" button but this is grey..if I click on it, all app buttons of that page move to very quickly to the right, then flip back..settings menu is not opening up..same if I swipe down to access seetings..I'm able to use the "quick settings" buttons (like enable/disable wifi/BT etc) but if I click on settings again, the menu disapperas and that's it...does anyone have any clue how I can access the settings menu again?!

    thx and rgds,
    max

I'd try a hard reboot (hold the power button down for 20-30 seconds).
If that doesn't help, what happens if you type "settings://" in the browser url bar and hit enter?

tried a hard reboot by removing the battery 2 times..didn't change anything..if I type "settings://" in the browser, it asks me to open the application and then "opening settings not possible"

edit: was a "settings" button also added to your app menu? if so, how does it look like? is it also a grey frame without any colored image in it (like all other app buttons have) like on my Q10?

can anyone help here? is there a way to re-install the os? unfortunately, I don't have a backup from before the update..Can I do a backup (just all personal data (mails, texts, pictures, mail settings, no apps needed) as per now, then re-install OS and transfer the backup to the phone then? If so, can s.o. give me some support how to do pls..?

    rgds & tx in advance,

Btw, never, ever pull the battery on a bb10 device unless it's already turned off.

Hard reset is performed by holding down up and down volume keys at the same time until phone reboots.

Sounds like you may need to do a security wipe.

and to which status will it be wiped (10.1, 10.2?) can I backup my personal data and restore that after wipeor is that already problematic because i only can do a backup from a "broken" phone now?

Try to backup through link and cross your fingers.

At that point, you might as well try to reload the os through link as well. It should load the most current os.
