I saw this floating about and thought you all might enjoy it. It's for STL-1003 versions only. That would be the LTE Z10. Don't try an install it to any others you'll likely stuff it up and end up crying in a pub somewhere. I dunno what's good or broke in it but some blokes have it installed and say it's working fine. Don't blame me if you're a chancer and it eats your wife or renders your device useless. Ah. Right then.. it also wipes your device on load and you do need a Windows box to complete it so do a backup unless you're wanting to start fresh.

Last time I used the loader to update to 10.0.10.261, I lost all my apps, setting and files. For the brave sole that tries this please let us know if this occurs as well.

I've had this OS for a few days now. I dunno if it's the same source file but the OS works fine and it actually fixes a lot of the calendar bugs lol. Haven't noticed many other changes but yes, it'll wipe your stuff clean just like any other OS loader will. If you can convince BlackBerry Link to work by all means, do a back up of anything you want to save.

BlackBerry Link restored most of the stuff though it asked me to verify the damn passwords for all my email accounts again. The rest (pics, videos, music) I just synched back. I never did the backup with a PC either. I did it on my Mac then booted to Windows then installed the file and restored using my Mac again.

when you guys say it'll wipe apps it just means you have to re install the apps u download from bbworld and re enter all settings/etc right?
where did u find this "floating around" ? (that reference makes me think of a piece of crap floating around hahah)

are there instructions how to install these unofficial OS?
is it similar to using the loader thing on older blackberry devices?

Yup, redownload and input settings again. To install you download it, unzip it, plug your device in, run the file, press the power button and wait for about 7-8 mins. Your device will wipe, reset and then boot up with a new OS. File looks fine to me but again, I already have it installed lol.

where did you get it from?
if you check your file checksum and this checksum they should match if they are the same?

So BB Link doesn't save the app settings (i.e. all the games will be set back back to as if we just opened them for the first time)?

    hehehe... ****..

Are running a different version of the android runtime?

i litterally spent countless hours downloading and converting different apk files and had to finally give up.. I have resorted to taking my old s3 around with me still and connect it to the wifi hotspot on my z10 for netflix... Its rather depressing.
