I love using the Virtual Keyboard and I can type most anything with one hand free. Mr Heins likes to talk about this mode of usage - which quintessentially belongs to multitaskers like me. It helps me use the device without appearing anti social also. Yay BlackBerry.

Right now the only thing that really forces me to require both hands when typing doing almost anything is.... calling up the keyboard.

Two finger up strokes require a whole hand movement, so I need to hold the device in my other hand. Breaks the whole one-handed typing thang.

Does anyone else wish there was a gesture (like up swipe of a horizontal thumb) that would bring the kb to life? Sounds like a small thing, but would be valuable for me.

(nb. Would also like to be able to hop back / fwd words or paras (without deleting) with a thumb arc over the kb.. but that's less important)

Yes, the PlayBook uses a swipe up to the right from the lower left. I miss this in BB10.
