Is there an official channel from where one can download beta versions of a point release OR the 10.3 OS?

How stable AND secure are the leaks?

There is a beta OS program, but it's invitation only -- not something you can apply for.

The 10.3.0.1052 has been a stable OS for most who have tried it. It's worked well for me.

Okay, just confirming. It's a leak. How long before 10.3 is officially out?

10.3.0.xxxx will only apparently be officially released with the Passport. 10.3.1.xxxx wil be released after that for the other BB10 devices. Probably Nov/Dec, or to coincide with the release of the Classic. No exact dates have been given.

Your patience is admirable lol. Thanks on behalf of all the users who receive always answers from you (even if would be much easier for them just to run a quick search!!)

    Thanks.

That's what we're here for -- to help each other. New or less experienced members may need a little more guidance than forum veterans. But that was me at one time as well.

Let me recommend you do the following to get the best 10.3 experience you can right now.

Load 10.3.0.1130, when that is done, sideload the updated apps from 10.3.0.1154 (you can find a link to the newer ones than 1052/1130).

Just read the instructions given there. Is way too complicated. I'm not sure I want to do that lest I brick my device or void my warranty or something.

I'm happy with the device overall except the battery, which according to reviews should've been stellar out of the box (with 10.2.1) I'm gonna give it a few more days and if this crazy business of dropping 1% every 3-5 min of active usage doesn't change, I want to be able to give the device back. Good battery is non-negotiable for me.

So, no leaked OS for me then

Uhm wow lol "too complicated" to load a leak?
    It's literally 3 EASY steps.
1- Back up your phone using BlackBerry Link
2- Run the autoloader exe file for your device
3- Restore the backup file you saved on your pc in step 1

    Done

I must've missed the autoloader part. I was reading through the file splitting, multiple BARs, etc process given. Is the autoloader available for Mac OSX or will the exe run fine under VirtualBox?

Ya no file splitting nonsense unless you are experienced/advanced user or not afraid to take a leap of faith lol autoloader is easiest way to go. Always backup first, whether you restore or not just in case.
