Default And now I am Jealous

So I am still on contract for 4.75 months. I can not get a discounted BB10 yet but I want one.. so I am jealous of you guys.

My friend that works at BB does not know when he will be able to get the BB10 devices for friends and families at discounted rates (he gets 10 BB units per year, but the newest models are not always available to him right away)

The good news, my provider (Telus) will waive the $15 per month cancellation fee if I am under 4 months (so I have to wait something like 25 days).... and I also asked them if they had a plan like Koodo's unlimited plan ($60 per month, unlimited Canadian calling, unlimited international texting and 1 gb data <extra GB at $10 each>)... they did not, but when I said I would wait out my contract and then go to Koodo they offered me the same plan for $65 per month (the extra $5 per month is not a big deal) as long as I get a new phone from them. They marked my account with the said deal

Anyways, under a month and I get my phone ... the only question is WHITE or BLACK?

edit: plan also includes Call Display, Call Answer and Conference Calling

Coming from Sask, I am happy to have our crown corporation (Sasktel) offering us the same deal but with unlimited data and picture/video messages country wide.

It's a great feeling to not have to count your GBs and just enjoy your device.

I'm in the same boat- black or white?!

    Great News for me

I just called Telus because I visted their website ans sawy $50 credit in store if you trade in an old phone (I have several old phones that dont work). My account saifd I was elligible now (even though it is 4 months and 25 days) because they extended the free upgrade to me as long as I am under 6 months.

I wonder if the store will have any stock tonight

I like the White, but all the cases I see online are black, so it kind of negates the idea of getting a white one

I JUST got off the phone with Bell, and I had to ask when my plan's discount and contract would expire (I had an old Employee discount... 50% off on a fully-loaded-more-than-you'll-ever-need plan), since I knew my contract was due to expire sometime soon. They said it expired on the 5th of March, and since when you cancel you have to give 30 days notice, then I had to either get a good deal today or give my notice... no pressure Bell. So they ended up giving me a plan with 6GB plus the regular unlimited text and evenings at 6pm, plus CD/VM and 500 LD minutes, 200 daytime minutes... for $64. Awesome! I had been paying $50 for my plan plus $12 of LD so I pay $2 more and get everything I need. I have to wait until they get the white though, since I heard they were sold out of pre-orders already. I also have my current 9780 for which I get a $70 trade-in credit to put towards the phone, so it'll only be $90 for me! Epic deal!

I called my local Telus.. they have a line up out the door and are unlikely to have any devices left after the line ends

They also dont do orders from the store (weird)

Good news for BB that stores have lineups (and this store is in a suburban area for 100,000 people so not a large area at all)

Telus has anytime upgrades now, you just need to pay the difference in the remaining balance of your phone. If I get a new $600 phone on a 3 year contract for $200 (examples), and after 6 months I want to upgrade again, simply re-sign the 3 year term and pay the remaining balance on the new phone. It's not necessarily cheap, but it means you don't have to wait til contracts expire.

Yeah I knew about that, but I dont want to pay extra.. They are waiving the remaining months and allowing me to upgrade now. They also just called from the store where I am waitlisted and said that because I have to wait, I get an extra $50 store credit (not sure if it is towards the phone or accessories, either way it is good)
