Not that it really needed confirmation but.. here it is - Swiftkey powers BB10-screen-shot-2014-06-23-11.14.04-pm.jpg

The URL leads nowhere but when you drop it all and just use the http://touchtype-fluency.com url it goes to Swiftkey.

Sorry to be dense, but does this mean we will get a different keyboard option in 10.3?

No, it means all the stuff you use right now can be attributed in some part to Swiftkey. Word prediction, keyboard learning etc. is combined with their keyboard API. I'm sure it's not all Swiftkey but it's there in some way.

Uhh... isn't that a given fact from the start. I kinda read somewhere that our keyboards are custom versions of SwiftKey (starting from PlayBook)

Sure, but it has come up time and time again but there has never been a true reference point to refer to. Like I said, 'not that it needed confirmation'. It's certainly not any BREAKING NEWS, it's just an FYI in case it comes up again. Do what you will with the knowledge. Share it, spread it, refer to it, ignore it. *shrug*

My 3 PlayBooks continue to function as good as ever. So versatile, yet so misunderstood.

Androids do have Swype keyboard, as an option. Not the same as BB10 though. My old Galaxy had the Swype keyboard installed.

Sorry man, I should have written "flick typing", not swipe typing. I will edit my post above to be more clear.

You are referring to the "Swype" keyboard app which features a mode of typing where you swipe or drag your finger across the screen without lifting it from the screen. As you swipe you "aim" for the letters that comprise the words you are trying to type. As it figures out which words you are trying to type, they appear in the text box above.

Flick typing on BB10 is quite different. It predicts your next word, and displays it above the next letter of that word, and if you want that word, you flick (or swipe) up from the letter and the word "flies" up from the keyboard to the text box. Really cool and works oh so well!
