I have a Z30, with the latest OS available on Verizon, my question is why can't I set permissions on Android apps? Why would an app need access to my pics or contacts if it has nothing to do with them? I thought BlackBerry was all about security! I love my Z30!

That is the way Android works. At least if you got the application from BlackBerry World it has been scanned by Trend Micro, so you know it isn't doing anything strange with your data.

You can change these permissions in 10.3 using a permissions app.
