I saw couple of videos where I can see dark background for Settings Menu on Z30. I'm using 10.2.1.1925 official on my Z10 STL100-1 How shud I set it?? Or its not available for Z10???

It's not available for LCD screen devices (i.e. the Z10/P9982). Only OLED screen devices (Q10, Q5, Z30) have dark Settings screens.

You can..i am on a z10, and have it enabled...

However, you have to set it within the settings of EACH app...

For texts...go to your hub, go to settings, click on text messages, and select the dark theme from there.

For Bbm, open Bbm app. Pull down to access settings, select the dark theme from there.

For contacts, open the app, select settings, select the theme from there.

I have only set it up for those 3 apps...

Also note, this is only available on 10.2.1

Yeah I was talking about dark theme for "Settings" app. I have other applications set to dark theme like BBM, Text messages.
N what is the reason not having dark theme in Settings for LCD devices?? I can understand not having white balance option for LCD but not having dark theme?!

Back in 10.1 and 10.2.0.(less than 1581), apps were dark-theme only for Q10/Q5 and light-theme only for Z10. After that, BB decided to have the dark theme toggle in BBM, Calendar, Contacts, text messages, etc. but left out the Settings for some reason. I'm not sure why they left out Settings, probably because it isn't used as much as the other apps listed.

You're right about the apps. You're also right about 1581, as anything besides those leaked apps was an unstable mess (without a working radio, too).

Sorry to side track the thread but I wonder why blackberry chose to leave the hub in the light theme versus making it black also. Seems kind of odd.

I actually want the opposite. I prefer the white background theme. I'm hoping BlackBerry will allow us to choose either one in the future.

BBM, Text and even Wikipedia all stay dark.

Using a 10.2.1.537 software release with 10.2.1.1925 OS version (leaked months ago) Was trying ot find and load "official" AT&T version but have not had luck and don't know if that is the issue. Can't seem to find an official AT&T version of 10.2..1.537.

Any suggestions?

Dark background is available on all z10 models EXCEPT the stl100-1 model. Different hardware for z10 stl100-1.
